Permanent skilled visa 189 – independent:
- This is for skilled and skilled workers who want to immigrate to Australia as permanent residents and whose jobs are on the relevant list.
- Subclass 189 allows you to live and work anywhere in Australia.
Basic requirements for the 189 visa:
- Have a job on the medium- and long-term strategic skills list.
- Have an appropriate skills assessment for your job
- Meet the English language requirement
- Be able to score at least 65 on the test
- Submit an EOI
- Be invited to apply for a visa
- Be under 45 years of age when you receive an invitation to apply for a visa
- Meet medical and police clearance requirements.
Skilled permanent visa 190 – state invitation:

Subclass 491 visa allows you to:
- Stay in Australia for 5 years
